Material changes will be communicated to active customers via email or in-app notification.

What personal information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with our Services. The categories below cover everything we collect across our website, mobile app, and WhatsApp communications.

Information you provide directly

Contact and identity information - Full name - Email address - Mobile phone number (used as your primary WhatsApp contact) - Delivery address, including area, city, and any landmark notes you provide

Information collected automatically

Device and app information When you use our mobile app, we automatically collect: - Device type, model, and operating system version - Mobile app version - Language and region settings - Approximate location based on IP address (not GPS coordinates) - Anonymous device identifiers used for crash reporting - Time and date of app usage - Screens visited and actions taken within the app

Website usage information When you visit nizamifarms.com, we automatically collect: - IP address - Browser type and version - Pages visited, time spent, and click activity - Referring website - Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Cookies section below)

Crash and error reports We use Sentry, a third-party crash reporting service, to capture technical information when the app crashes or encounters an error. This includes: - Stack trace of the error - Device and OS information - App state at the time of the crash - An anonymous user identifier so we can see how many users are affected by a given crash

Sentry does not receive your name, email, phone number, or order content.

Information from third parties

We receive information about you from the following third parties:

  • Shopify, who hosts our online store and processes your orders, shares your order information, customer profile, and payment confirmation with us.
  • Payment processors confirm your payment status and provide transaction reference numbers. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or bank login credentials.
  • Apple and Google, when you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google to access our app, share your name and email with us so we can create or link your account.
  • Meta, which operates WhatsApp and our advertising platforms, may share aggregated data about how you interacted with our ads.
  • Delivery service providers, when applicable, share delivery confirmation, GPS-based ETA information, and delivery failure reasons.

How we use your personal information

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:

To provide our products and services

  • Process and fulfill your orders
  • Schedule and route deliveries to your address
  • Send you order confirmations, dispatch notifications, and delivery updates via WhatsApp, SMS, email, and in-app notifications
  • Send you the final invoice once your meat has been cut, weighed, and packed (since prices vary slightly based on actual weight)
  • Maintain your account, save your delivery addresses, and remember your preferences for future orders
  • Process payments, refunds, returns, and replacements
  • Respond to customer service requests, complaints, or queries

To communicate with you

  • Send transactional notifications about your orders (these are always sent regardless of marketing preferences, as they are essential to fulfilling your order)
  • Send you marketing messages about new products, seasonal offers, and Qurbani bookings (only if you have opted in or are an existing customer; you can opt out at any time)
  • Notify you of changes to our Services, Terms, or this Privacy Policy

To improve our Services

  • Understand which products are most popular and which areas have the highest demand
  • Identify and fix bugs, crashes, and performance issues in the app
  • Analyze trends in customer behavior to plan inventory, expand delivery zones, and design new features

  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which tracks website conversions and helps us serve ads on Facebook and Instagram. We share purchase events with Meta via Shopify's Conversions API integration, including hashed email and phone for event match quality. Meta does not receive your raw email or phone.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may cause some features of our website to stop working. Cookies are not used in our mobile app.

Each service provider is bound by contract or their own terms to use your information only for the services they provide to us.

Business and marketing partners

We share aggregated and hashed information with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and other advertising partners so we can measure ad performance and reach similar audiences. We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose your information when required to do so by law, to respond to lawful requests from public authorities, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our customers, our team, or others.

Business transactions

If Nizami Farms is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and any new privacy practices that apply.

WhatsApp communications

Because most of our customer communication happens on WhatsApp, this section explains how we handle WhatsApp messages.

We use the WhatsApp Business Cloud API, operated by Meta, to send and receive WhatsApp messages from our official business number. When you message us or we message you:

  • Meta processes and stores the messages on WhatsApp's infrastructure, governed by Meta's privacy policies.
  • We store a copy of the conversation history in our internal systems so our team can respond and provide support.
  • We use pre-approved templates to send transactional notifications about your orders (these do not require you to message us first).
  • We only initiate marketing or promotional messages on WhatsApp with your prior opt-in.
  • You can opt out of marketing WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP, by telling our team, or by emailing support@nizamifarms.com. Transactional order updates will continue.

Account information and deletion

You can manage your account information in the following ways:

  • Update your details at any time in the mobile app under Account, or by messaging us on WhatsApp.
  • Delete your account at any time from the mobile app under Account β†’ Delete Account, or by emailing support@nizamifarms.com.

When you delete your account, we will: - Remove your name, email, phone, and saved addresses from our active systems within 30 days. - Retain your order history and invoices for the period required by Pakistani tax and commercial law (typically 6 years). - Delete or anonymize any data that is no longer required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes.

Deleting your account in the app deletes your account on our backend and removes you from our customer records on Shopify. It does not delete your WhatsApp conversation history on Meta's servers; you can manage that within the WhatsApp app.

Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as we need it to provide our Services and for the periods required by law. The specific retention periods are:

We securely delete or anonymize information once we no longer need it.

Children's privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at support@nizamifarms.com and we will delete it promptly. Customers under the age of 18 should only use our Services with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These steps include encrypted connections (HTTPS) across our website and app, encrypted storage of sensitive credentials, role-based access control on our internal systems, and ongoing monitoring of our infrastructure.

International transfers

Some of our service providers (such as Shopify, Vercel, Neon, Meta, Sentry, and Resend) are located outside Pakistan, including in the United States, the European Union, and other jurisdictions. When we transfer your personal information outside Pakistan, we rely on the service provider's own data protection commitments, contractual safeguards, and recognized international transfer mechanisms where applicable.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Deletion: request that we delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)

Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about your orders, account, or essential service updates.

Our Services may include links to third-party websites, including social media platforms, payment processors, and delivery tracking pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing any information with them.

User-generated content

If you submit reviews, photos, or other content to public areas of our Services, that content will be visible to others. We are not responsible for how others use information you make public. Be thoughtful about what you share.
